"WHY should I tell you what I LOVE about this track other than I fucking LOVE it and that I wrote this song in a lucid dream in 1978 and then just as I finished recording it in the dream, a Fire Angel came and took it away explaining that NO songs that I write belong to me that I must simply just bear silent witness the conception and applaud the loving mother in whose womb like spirit it was.. This song totally articulates how I spent many years "looking for the right thing in the wrong place /and the wrong thing in the right place" :) This is surely a topic for any ethical debating society to ponder :) One last note.. I woke up this morning to find the Freeway To MY Soul had been Freshly Creosoted In Neon with a rather large sign pointing to Paradise simply saying "You Won't Find It Here". The synchronicity is truly alarming and strangely comforting.."
